This wedding could’t have been more perfect. Maria & Carson are a super fun couple with amazing friends, so after photographing their Nanaimo engagement, I just knew their wedding day would be a blast!
In the Courtenay & Comox Valley region of Vancouver Island, there is this wonderful sense of being one with nature. The beaches, the forests, the mountains, they all seem to be at your fingertips. The wedding took place at the Crown Isle Resort, which really feels like the centre of it all.
I don’t know about you, but I’m a sucker for a First Look! It’s not only a good way to get rid of the pre-ceremony jitters, but it also lets you totally relax and be in a beautiful moment. Once the ceremony begins, the day goes by in a flash! You will totally cherish these moments!
Maria and Carson exchanged vows surrounded by pure, rich love from their friends and family. The ceremony was perfect – not too short, not too long, filled with tears of joy and laughter.
I took the wedding party on a short drive down to the Filberg Heritage Park in Comox. It was about 15 minutes away, but so worth it! It also helps that I have a bright gold car (some people say orange, I like to say gold) to follow. It was the perfect location for the creative shots!
The reception was full of laughter and tears as many of their friends and family delivered the most heartfelt speeches about these two lovebirds. Luckily, I was able to whisk them away after the dancing had begun to get some late-night creatives around the resort.
In the end, it was a perfect and memorable night for everyone! I am so happy to have been a part of this special day, and to capture these special moments! Congratulations, Maria & Carson! xo
